What we collect, and why
If you buy a book
Checkout, payment and the download are handled by Gumroad, Inc. (United States), which acts as the seller of record and handles sales tax and VAT. Gumroad collects your name, email and payment details under its own privacy policy, and shares with us your name, email and what you bought, so we can help you if something goes wrong with your download.
Measuring how the page is used
For visitors outside the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we use Microsoft Clarity to see how the page is used (clicks, scrolling, and which device and browser), so we can make it easier to read. Clarity hides what you type into forms. Visitors from those European countries are not measured at all.
When you visit the site
The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., which processes technical data such as your IP address to deliver the page and protect it from attacks. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
Transfers outside Europe
The companies above (Gumroad, Cloudflare, Microsoft) are based in the United States, so your data may be processed there, under the safeguards those companies provide for international transfers.
How long we keep it
Purchase records are kept by Gumroad as long as the law requires for tax and accounting.
